The aim of the project was to define a house with the interiors conceived in such way that the everyday-activities could be central in the articulation of the inner spaces of living.
To do so, the technical volumes and the storage spaces have been reduced to a minimum and connected to the main rooms.
The volumes of the house remind a carved monolith, that recalls the iconic shape of the traditional house, deprived from all the traditional elements in order to have a more contemporary and architectural style.
The house is made of structural wood elements, wooden windows and wooden sun-blinds. Metal sheets are instead used as an outer finish.
The modern and the classic in this house coexist without clashing, declaring a different dialogue between the new and the traditional, both in the shape and in the materials, with a particular attention to the environmental sustainability.
